WE HAVE TEAMED UP! Kitewest Watersports, in collaboration with Samdhana Yoga; is delivering SUP Yoga Teacher trainings in BALI and now also offering Accredited Sand Up Paddle board Yoga Teacher Trainings in Perth by the river – SUP Yoga TT PERTH and SUP Yoga TT BALI.

In Partnership with Samdhana Yoga  (https://samdhanayoga.org/),  our unique 2 days SUP Yoga TT will take place In Sanur – Bali -Indonesia  and on the Swan River – Point Walter – Perth – Western Australia.

The only accredited Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga training school in Bali is now coming to Perth. On successfully completing Level 1 or Level 2 Stand up Paddle Yoga teaching training you will receive 20 hours continuing education hours as recognised by the overarching International Yoga Alliance. Our training will leave you fully equipped and confident in teaching Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga.

Stand Up Paddle board Yoga

Stand Up Paddle boarding or SUP, combined with Yoga asana, Pranayama and meditation makes SUP Yoga a unique Yoga practice that is becoming extremely popular around the world. Stand Up Paddle Yoga can be practiced on any calm water surface including the Ocean, lake, canal or even in a swimming pool! Stand Up Paddle boarding builds core strength, balance and stamina, combined with Yoga poses the whole body and mind are challenged by intense focus, concentration and self awareness. This is the perfect meditation in motion floating on the water.

Stand Up Paddle Yoga Teacher Training Level 1

The Level 1 Stand Up Paddle Yoga teacher training program has some pre-requisites which include a 200 hours Yoga teacher certification and the ability to swim. Further information on pre-requisites is detailed below. On completion of this 2 day training program, students will feel confident to deliver Stand up Paddle Yoga classes and will learn how to launch their own SUP Yoga business. Our experienced trainers will share their knowledge and skills to enable you to become a confident Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga teacher.

You’re in good hands with our team of fully qualified and well-experienced  Senior Yoga and Stand Up Paddle board Yoga trainers ( YACEP – Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Providers).

LEVEL 1 TRAINING

Training Program overview:

  • Program: 20 hour module
  • Duration: 2 Days
  • Investment training: USD$ 500. Accommodation not included.
  • Certificate: Level 1 for 20 hours continuing education hours accredited by the Yoga Alliance.
  • Includes all equipment, manual and insurance.

Recommended Qualifications: 

  • CPR/First Aid/Senior First Aid certificate
  • Water rescue certificate or similar

Entry requirements:

The Level 1 SUP Yoga training program is open to Yoga teachers with a 200 hours certificate. Stand Up Paddle boarding experience is an advantage, but those without will learn paddling essentials leaving them competent enough to safely run a SUP Yoga class. The ability to swim is a requirement as Stand Up Paddle board Yoga is classified as a surface water sport.

LEVEL 2 TRAINING

Looking to advance your SUP Yoga teachings? Join KiteWest’s Level 2 “Journey to the Core” SUP Yoga Teacher Training

Develop your skills and challenge yourself with our friendly team of International Senior Yoga and Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga Teacher Trainers. This Level 2 Training is for existing Stand Up Paddle Yoga Teachers Level 1 who want to further expand their SUP Yoga knowledges and dippen their practice by taking their SUP Yoga TT Lvl1 to the next level.

Our level 2 training teaches you a thinking process which focuses on three main areas:

1) Embodying your anatomy-lectures will include understanding the anatomy of both the core and respiratory muscles. You will practice several techniques to strengthen and stabilize your trunk as a way to improve balance and coordination on a paddleboard. You will also learn about the important relationship between core stability and optimal movement of the spine, shoulders and hips as a precursor to understanding how to effectively sequence your classes. Learn and practice several effective techniques to increase stability and mobility as a means to feel more balanced in your upper body, trunk and lower body while balancing on a paddleboard.

2) Advanced sequencing- based on your understanding of anatomy, we will introduce you to a number of creative ways to sequence around a particular anatomical or philosophical theme, need or goal.

3) Philosophy, meditation and mindfulness techniques will be offered to enhance your experience, connect with nature, and build a deeper, core awareness. This portion will also include things like advanced water safety techniques, mindful business practices, and more…

Stand Up Paddle board yoga Teacher Training Level 2

Training program overview

  • Program: 20 hour module
  • Duration: 2 days training

  • Certificate: Level 2 Certificate for 20 hours Continuing Education.

What to bring:

  • A change of clothes.
  • Sun protection cream
  • A cap or hat
  • Drinking water
  • Suitable clothing for our SUP yoga practice i.e. swimwear and/or some shorts and vest/t-shirt.
  • T-shirt/rash vest to protect you from the sun whilst you are on the SUP is a wise idea.
  • A sense of fun, spirit and adventure!
  • It is often more comfortable for people to wear sunglasses but please be mindful that these sometimes do get lost in the water so please don’t use your best pair!
